Typical sequence
The project is usually divided between removable parts handled away from the kitchen and fixed cabinet boxes handled in the home. That separation is why the kitchen is not simply painted start-to-finish like a room.
What can extend the schedule?
- Large door and drawer-front counts
- Damage or repairs discovered during prep
- Significant color changes or substrate issues
- New cabinet doors or custom trim
- Cabinet-to-ceiling build-ups or other carpentry
- Complex access or protection requirements
How to get a more accurate timeline
Send photos and an approximate cabinet count. A kitchen with 16 doors is a different project from one with 45 doors, two islands and built-ins.
